Mitch Kirchner’s meeting planning and management experience includes twelve years with Host Communications, Inc. (HCI), a Lexington-based, multi-faceted management firm, where he was Director of Host Events. In that capacity he supervised a staff of meeting planners which handled the convention, conference and event planning for HCI’s clients including the Travel and Tourism Research Association, the National Tour Association (NTA), and the National Collegiate Athletics Association. He also served as Director of Conventions for the 3,800 member National Tour Association. Prior to his employment at Host Communications, he worked for eight years with Hyatt Hotels where he held the position of Director of Convention Services for five years after being promoted through various other management positions. 

Kirchner’s experience is broad and well-rounded. He has planned numerous meetings of all sizes including multi-hotel, city-wide conventions for up to 3,300 people with budgets approaching $2.5 million; smaller conventions, seminars and board meetings; as well as corporate sales meetings, special events and outings and consumer expositions. He has executed conventions and/or events in more than forty different convention centers, and has utilized nearly 200 different hotels throughout North America. He has experience working with conference planning committees as well as working individually on events.
